Today the Texas 1940 census became available and I discover to my chagrin why I have always seemed so slow. According to the census on my last birthday I was 10, which means I was born in 1929. If I had such a head start why I am still trying to catch up? The spelling was with double l. At 10 I ought to have decided on a permanent spelling.
