In the basement of the Troy Public Library reading a review of MOBY-DICK just discovered by Hershel Parker using the "Leyda Wand." See the oil cloth on the table. The bound volumes (since removed upstairs) were badly foxed. This is the time Leyda told me he would rather be there review hunting with me than working in the Pierpont Morgan Library.
