Anybody unfortunate enough to have seen an outhouse knows that scorpions, snakes, wasps, and spiders live on the underside of the platform with holes in it and will surely bite and sting any flesh that touches the seat.
Last night I lifted up the toilet seat and watched an enormous black spider crawl over the edge.
City dwellers can worry about baby alligators and snakes in the pipes.
Spiders suffice for me.
